Quality Assurance in laboratories ensures accuracy, reliability and timeliness of reported test results.
Through the standards and Quality Assurance Unit, Quality management system in Kenya and within the NPHL has been achieved.
Achievements
- Over 100 laboratories accredited in the Country
- 7 Laboratories are accredited at NPHL (ISO 15189:2012)
- PT Production Centre – KNEQAS accredited to ISO 17043:2010
- Two sections- Food safety and nutrition laboratory & Equipment Calibration Centre accredited under ISO 17025:2017
- Conducted laboratory training and mentorship on QMS in the country
